Recently named by Georgia Trend magazine as one of the year’s “Most Influential Georgians” Trustee Lisa Borders, is president of the Atlanta City Council. Ms. Borders also serves as a Senior Vice President with Cousins Properties Incorporated, an Atlanta-based Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). Her duties include external affairs, marketing, communications and community reinvestment. Previously, she worked in the healthcare arena for over 15 years, serving as the Chief Administrator for Atlanta Women's Specialists and Vice President-Operations for Healthcap Atlanta (Physician Practice Management Company acquired by FPA Medical Management). Borders has worked in her community primarily focusing on women and children's issues in the areas of education, healthcare and housing. The Duke University alumna serves on the university’s board of Board of Visitors, as a trustee at the Westminster Schools, and a director of Saint Joseph's Healthcare System.
