Leonard Walker is Senior Vice President and Business Banking Director for Wachovia Bank, N.A. in Atlanta, Georgia. He is head of banking activities for more than 2,000 companies with annual sales ranging from $3,000,000 to more than $15,000,000. Mr. Walker and his team of bankers are responsible for all corporate banking, treasury services, credit and capital management needs for Business Banking customers in Atlanta.
Prior to joining Wachovia, Walker was a founder and principal in an institution-backed venture capital firm based in Atlanta. The venture capital firm, CyberStarts, funded in part by Wachovia, created, acquired and managed companies focused on the intersection of financial services and technology.
His banking career includes eleven years with JP Morgan Chase in New York City. While there, he held a number of senior management positions including Small Business Financial Services and as a Division Executive in Middle Market Banking.
Walker received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Davidson College in North Carolina and holds an MBA from Columbia University in New York. Mr. Walker is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Program for Management Development. He serves on the boards of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, Great Schools Atlanta, and the Board of Trustees, Clark Atlanta University.
