John W. Daniels, Jr.
John Daniels, Chairman of Quarles & Brady LLP, has extensive experience in serving national, regional, local and governmental owners and investors in real estate. Daniels, a Harvard-trained lawyer and partner in the national law firm of Quarles & Brady, has a long history of involvement with higher educational institutions. He previously served on the board of trustees of his alma mater, North Central College, and the board of trustees of the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he now serves as a director emeritus.
Daniels is known as one of the nation’s most outstanding real estate lawyers and businesspersons. He was the first African-American elected as President of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and as national officer of the American Bar Association Real Property Section. He is a member of a number of corporate and business boards, including one of the nation's 50 largest bank-holding companies, M&I Marshall & Ilsley. Daniels, who is known for his civic involvement and who recently was awarded the Thurgood Marshall Lifetime Achievement Award, is also well known for his involvement with youngsters, having chaired one of the nation’s most effective charity golf events providing contributions to youngsters.
